DC I realize this could result in a DC 35 check but, inventing a new level 20 ability seems like a godly feat so, I think it's fitting. I would Snak using the same guidelines as the spells, but use the "class level you would reward this ability at" idea in place of spell level.

For abilities, they can either gain the ability for free or replace an equivalent ability depending on your power scale. For something simple like a new fighting style, a replacement would make the most sense. And that's it!
