As a fan of the books and movies I purchased the game hoping for an adult RPG but was somewhat disappointed with the purchase. The graphics are pretty good and some of the story lines are interesting, however, the gameplay is very simple. To an experienced gamer this release will be easy to beat and holds little replay value. The sound and weak voice overs, not done by the movie's actors, were also forgettable. It's best suited for beginning level gamers or children. As I stated earlier some of the story lines like the barrow downs and Tom Bombadil were interesting to see but others just seem to go on forever.
