What Is The American Dream In Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin In The Sun
This storyboard was created with StoryboardThat. She cares for the plant as best she can. Mama's dream was to one day own a house that had a garden. The plant was the closest she could get to that dream.
It also shows the racism that the family experiences. As well as shows the family coming together to make something good happen, When the famly attempted to buy the house, a white man offered them more money to keep them out of the neighborhood. This shows how hard it was for black of this time.
The check symboliced hope. Having the check gave them hope that they could fulfill their dreams. It gave them a chance to have something good. It showed the selfishness of Walter and how easily things could go bad.]
