We traveled to Tennessee first then to Florida. My dad, step mom, Little brother and sister and I chose to travel to two different states because me and my siblings had a set of grandparents in each state. We used to take the boat out and go to a restaurant on the beach. You can also go to the beach and surf or boat and go jet skiing. You can also go boating and jet skiing in Tennessee too.
Having lived near my Asian grandparents for the majority of my life, I understand that segregation still exists in society.
Personal Narrative: Out Of The State
Despite being both Filipino and Irish, I look Caucasian. I often hear rude remarks and jokes made about Asians. While these remarks are not meant to offend me, they always do. At the start of junior year, I transferred to a Catholic high school.
The last thing I expected was to see the blatant bullying prevalent at my old public school, but it was there. One day in Theology class, a girl began harassing an international student sitting behind her.
